Teak
Furniture made from this beautiful premium teak, sourced from sustainable plantations, is rich in natural tannins and is able to withstand even extreme weather conditions over an exceptionally long lifetime. The wood is resistant to rain, strong sunlight, freezing conditions and fluctuating temperatures. These qualities make it particularly well-suited to longterm outdoor use.
SEGEN teak furniture requires no special maintenance besides other than periodic cleaning. If allowed to age naturally outdoors, it will eventually turn to a soft, silver-gray as surface pigments fade. As this is a natural process, the silver-gray color may appear irregularly, especially at first.
To retain the wood’s original, golden hue, use teak oil at least twice a year. Allow your teak furniture with cushions to dry before using covers. To prevent mold and stains, SEGEN recommends not to use covers for tables with teak tabletops.
